Attend Thursday's Annual Meeting
We are going to do our best to have a little fun as we host SEMO Electric’s 2021 Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 13 at the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo grounds. Rain or shine, it will be a drive-thru event from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Plus, we will have a live concert from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with Brothers Walker and Doug Johnson. You are welcome to park your vehicle and enjoy. We would appreciate prayers for no severe storms. Come visit with Team SEMO!
To respect social distancing, registration, and voting will take place from your vehicle’s window during the event. Members will be asked to approve minutes from the 2019 Annual Meeting and the 2020 Special Meeting, which was conducted for the limited purpose of director elections due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Members will also be asked to approve financial statements for 2019 and 2020, amend two items for the Cooperative's Bylaws, and elect four candidates to SEMO Electric's Board of Directors.
All members (one per household) who attend will receive a $15 bill credit, plus a participation gift, and be placed in The Grand Prize Drawing for one of five $250 bill credits. Voting will end at 6 p.m. so ballots may be counted. Results will be announced during the business meeting, which will start at 6 p.m. The business meeting will be broadcast live on Facebook and Classic KYMO 105.3 FM. Members may park and attend the business meeting in person. The Grand Prize Drawing will be held live on SEMO Electric Cooperative’s Facebook page at 9 a.m., Friday, May 14. Winners will be notified.
