The Friday Feature w/Sean: The Eyes of Kindness

✅ A Moment of Kindness: The Friday Feature, Week #229. While waiting for my flight yesterday, I sat next to a young lady who kept to herself while I read. Our plane was delayed for about five hours. Suddenly, she got up and moved to a corner away from everyone else. A couple then came to sit next to me, and we noticed she had left her small purse on the chair. I picked it up and took it to her. When she looked up, tears were streaming down her face. I asked if there was anything I could do. She simply said, “I am trying to get home to a dying parent.” My heart broke. I asked if I could pray for her. We prayed for her—Alise—and her mom Laura.

❤️ A few hours later, we begin to board and she tells me: “It’s nice to know that people I don’t know care about me.” The encounter stayed with me, reminding me how we never know what people are going through. Using our eyes to truly see people allows us to bring kindness to their lives. My hopes and prayers are with that family and many others around the world.

This week, I humbly share a simple request: take a moment to offer a kind word or gesture to someone you encounter. Use your eyes to see who might need a bit of kindness in their life. You never know how much it might mean to them, and you may never get the chance again.
