The Friday Feature w/Sean: Have Fun: “Be the Pink Mohawk!”

Have you ever noticed that the people who bring the most joy into a room are usually the ones who aren’t afraid to be a little different? Welcome to week #330 of The Friday Feature.

I asked my friend Gene McCoy, “Gene, what’s with the pink hats?” He smiled and said, “We’re being weird. We’re being fun.”

Then he said something I haven’t been able to stop thinking about. “In a world of buzz cuts, be the pink Mohawk.”

👉 Life is too short to spend it blending in. So many people worry about what others might think, say, or post. But when you have the courage to be yourself, you give everyone else permission to do the same.

Maybe your pink Mohawk isn’t a hat. Maybe it’s your laugh. Your kindness. Your creativity. Your willingness to encourage someone else. Whatever it is, don’t hide it.

Instead of trying to fit in, get into the business of making people smile. The world has enough people trying to look the same. What it needs is more people willing to be genuine.

So this week, be you. Have a little fun. Make someone smile. And don’t spend another minute worrying about what someone else might think.
