Planned Mayday Training Exercise

Please be advised that SEMO Electric Cooperative will be conducting a mock Mayday emergency procedure at the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo Grounds on Monday, October 12, 2026. The exercise will begin promptly at 8:30 AM.

As part of the training exercise, Air Evac will be on the grounds. There is no emergency and the public should not be alarmed by the presence of Air Evac or emergency personnel.

This is a planned mock emergency exercise only, designed to help SEMO Electric Cooperative personnel and emergency responders practice and prepare for a potential real-life Mayday situation.

We appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation.
