A Successful Mayday Training Exercise for Team SEMO

Today, SEMO Electric Cooperative completed a planned mock emergency drill at the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo Grounds. This was a training exercise, and there was no actual emergency.

Thank you to the volunteers, first responders, Air Evac personnel and everyone who helped make this training possible. Your time, teamwork and commitment help us prepare for the moments we pray never happen.

In an emergency, seconds can feel like minutes, and minutes can feel like hours. That’s why we practice—and why safety remains at the heart of everything we do.

Our goal is simple: Everyone goes home safely.
