Team SEMO Honored for Safety Commitment

SEMO Electric Cooperative has been recognized for Team SEMO’s commitment to safety after working all of 2025 without a lost-time accident. The team has now achieved 376,454.95 cumulative hours without a lost-time accident.

“At SEMO Electric Cooperative, safety is more than a goal—it is a commitment we make to one another and to our families,” said Sean Vanslyke, general manager and CEO. “This recognition reflects the daily choices Team SEMO makes to watch out for one another and to do every job safely. We want every employee to return home safely at the end of each day.”

The recognition was presented at AMEC’s 2026 annual meeting. Based in Jefferson City, AMEC is the statewide service organization for Missouri’s electric cooperatives.
