Sometimes people ask why it can take time to restore power after a storm.

The answer isn’t always the repair itself. Often it’s getting to (or from) the location.

Mud. Downed trees. Debris. Saturated ground. Sometimes our crews simply can’t reach the line without a little help.

We want to thank Mr. N of Jackson, Missouri, who generously used his 300-horsepower tractor to pull one of our trucks free from the mud. Acts of kindness like this make a real difference, and we’re grateful for neighbors who step up to help.

With the heavy rain we’ve received, the ground remains extremely wet. Please use caution this weekend, as trees may continue to fall and additional outages are possible.
