Poor air quality? Six ways to protect yourself.
Smoke and poor air quality can affect everyone, especially children, pregnant women, older adults and those with respiratory conditions. Follow these tips from the CDC to protect yourself:
Check local air quality: https://www.airnow.gov/.
Avoid outdoor activities and keep windows closed.
Use a portable air cleaner to filter the air.
Run AC with the air intake closed or on “recirculate.”
Pay attention to any changes in your health.
Reduce exposure by wearing a respirator if outdoors.
