The Friday Feature w/Sean: The Nap That Saved Me
The prep was miserable… but the nap during my colonoscopy? Easily Top 5 of my life. Week #282 of The Friday Feature
Funny, sure—but this is serious. Colon cancer is a family issue. This was my second colonoscopy.
Here’s why you should care:
Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the U.S.
1 in 24 people will be diagnosed in their lifetime.
If caught early, it has a 91% survival rate.
If you’re 45 or older—or have a family history—don’t put it off. Whatever the check is—colon, heart, bladder—get it done.
You can’t chase joy if you’re too sick to run after it. The best gift you can give your loved ones is you—healthy, present, and here for the long haul.
P.S. Happy Birthday to Debbie Miller Stidham, Jim Gibson, Rachel Hoemann, and Happy Anniversary to Cindy and John Bledsoe as they all share my birthday – today!
