Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends impacted by the devastating wildfires in California. Nearly 10,000 homes, businesses, and structures have been destroyed—taking with them irreplaceable memories and stories. Scrapbooks, photos, and keepsakes we expect to hold onto forever can disappear in an instant.

But while material things may be lost, the story we write through our actions—our compassion, resilience, and strength—will endure. As Professor Michelle L. Buck, Kellogg Executive Education, wisely says, we tell a story every day through what we do.
