âś… What’s Your Snake? This is Week 325 of The Friday Feature. Meet Charlie and her friends, Aries, Mist, and Rory. How many things in life do we avoid simply because we’re uncomfortable with them?
Now, if you’re like most people, your first thought is probably, “Why would anyone want to do that?” Because snakes make us uncomfortable. We see one and immediately think about danger. Fear. Trouble. But here’s the interesting thing. Most snakes aren’t out looking for a fight. They’re simply doing what they were created to do. In fact, they play an important role in the world around us. And that got me thinking.
How many things in life do we avoid simply because we’re uncomfortable with them? A difficult conversation. A new opportunity. A different perspective. Meeting someone we don’t know. Trying something we’ve never done before.
👉 If we spend our lives looking for reasons to be afraid, we’ll find them. If we spend our lives looking for what’s wrong, we’ll usually find that too. I’m not suggesting everyone go out and hold a snake. But I am suggesting that we challenge ourselves to be curious instead of fearful. Because every once in a while, what looks scary from a distance turns out to be something completely different when we get a little closer.
Thanks for watching and sharing Week 325 of The Friday Feature. Keep Pushing Forward and I will see you next Friday.
Thank you to Angela Bennett for getting up early this morning and bringing Charlie and her friends.
