🛑 Stop! That may be the hardest word for some of us to hear. This week, we stopped for a few days. But we were not going to miss Week 320 of The Friday Feature.
Life is not a video game. We do not get to hit the reset button whenever we want. We live in a world that celebrates nonstop motion. Keep working. Keep grinding. Keep going. Somewhere along the way, many of us started believing that slowing down meant falling behind.
My friend, Glen Stevens, shared a great reminder with me about the importance of stopping in order to win. Glen, thank you for your wisdom, encouragement, and perspective.
Think about it. Football teams call timeouts to regroup. Basketball players rotate out to catch their breath. Soccer has halftime. NASCAR drivers make pit stops because no one wins on an empty tank. Even plays and musicals stop for intermission before the final act. Airplanes stop to refuel before continuing the journey.
Yet as humans, parents, partners, leaders, and friends, we often convince ourselves we should never slow down.
👉 The truth is, stopping is not weakness. Stopping is preparation. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is pause long enough to breathe, pray, laugh, heal, reconnect, and refill your tank before stepping back into the race.
Because you cannot keep pouring into everyone else when your own tank is empty. So maybe the question this week is simple: What do you need to stop and refuel from before you can keep moving forward?
Thanks for watching and sharing week 320 of The Friday Feature. Keep Pushing Forward - with international pauses - and we will see you next Friday.
