The Friday Feature w/Sean: Ready to Quit? Decide to Go 1 – 0
✅ Will you decide to go 1 and 0 today? Week #343 of The Friday Feature. When life gets heavy, even thinking about tomorrow can feel overwhelming. I asked Dr. Kevin Elko what he would tell someone who is struggling to keep pushing forward. His answer started with one word: Decide.
Decide to go 1 and 0 today. You don’t have to figure out the next 365 days. Start with the day in front of you.
When you feel like quitting, decide to take another step. When you feel like complaining, decide what you can do to help. Winning today might mean making a difficult phone call, asking for help, or simply getting up and trying again.
Dr. Elko also reminds us to act. Sing a song. Find a reason to smile. Do something that makes a difference in somebody else’s life. We may not have everything figured out, but we can listen, encourage, or remind someone they matter.
Dr. Elko has helped some of the biggest names in football prepare for challenges. He earned his bachelor’s degree at California University of Pennsylvania, followed by two master’s degrees and a doctorate at West Virginia University. His career includes an internship with the United States Olympic Committee, consulting with NFL teams such as the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys, and working with seven BCS national championship football teams. https://lnkd.in/g4Pzwuny
But his encouragement reaches far beyond football. What would a win look like for you today? Start there. One day. One decision. One step forward.
Thanks for watching and sharing Week 343 of The Friday Feature. Keep Pushing Forward, and I will see you next Friday.

Every Friday since March 27, 2020, I’ve shared a story to encourage, inspire, and remind us that some of life’s greatest lessons come from everyday moments. Thank you for being part of this journey and for sharing these messages with others.
If you’d like more stories like this, my book, Change Me. Bless Them., is available on Amazon. Through real stories and practical lessons, it reminds us that lasting change begins by looking inward before pointing outward. All royalties in 2026 will be donated to the Kabuki Syndrome Foundation.
